David Butland Obituary
PORTLAND - David Thomas Butland, 50, of Portland, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016. He was the domestic partner of Ann Marie Leighton.
He was born Sept. 24, 1966, in Portland, the son of the late David E. Butland and Sally Ann (Coyne) Butland, of Portland. He attended Portland area schools, graduating in 1985 from Portland High School.
Dave worked as a contractor for many years. He enjoyed spending time on Sturdivant Island, striper fishing off his boat. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a quick wit. David was the type of guy who would help anyone in need.
Besides Ann Marie and his mother, Sally Ann, he is survived by his daughter, Jackie Butland, and her boyfriend, Ken Paul; his sister, Christine Butland, and brother, Tim Butland, both of Portland. He also leaves his nieces, Jade and Lindsay Clippinger, Lauren, Sikora, Meghan and Natalie Butland; as well as his dog Ella, and many other relatives and friends.
