David Charles Butler

I was privileged to know Dave since moving to Virginia in 1971. Dave was my bowling coach when I was in junior league and then later at the University Of Virginia. Dave was a very kind man and brilliant on so many topics. He will be missed.

We will miss you tremendously at the bridge table.. Thank you for helping me with all my bridge questions..you always took the time and patience to answer my inquiries.

I will never forget his baritone voice. David was always a gentleman to beginning and new bridge players. He would take time to explain better ways to play. He will be missed at JBA.

Condolences to Dave´s family. Dave was a kind and gentle Person. I knew him through bowling and working with him at Mountain Bowl. Rest In Peace, Dave.

118 times in the last 3 years, 90 minutes at a time, David gave me the opportunity to play against him. Further, he helped me think through some mad Bridge ideas. What a gift he was. I am in his debt, and I miss him.

The members and supporters of the Albemarle High School Alumni Association were very sorry to hear about Mr. Butler´s passing. It is always sad to lose a member of the Albemarle family, and we offer our condolences to his family and friends.

What and kind and gentle soul. I know all of the bridge community will miss him.
