Not sure what to say?

We all miss you Dave, very much. You were a cherished friend and so supportive in many ways. Your spirit lives on in all of us, Aloha, Patra

I enjoyed playing softball with Dave in the Portland co-ed league for over 10 years. His idea of a great game matched mine: fun people, laughter, a good effort, and a beer after the game. When I joined his team were were in the M league, and through the years and with his wonderful gift for meeting people, we worked our way up to the B league. Our team drifted apart when no one was willing to step up and relieve Dave of his managerial duties, but it was always a pleasure to run into him in...

Steven, Jennifer and families,
I was so excited about David and Steven's upcoming visit. on May 18th, and shocked to hear of David's death. I can't even begin to imagine the shock it was to you and your families. I can see by everyone's notes that he hadn't changed at all. He was always the peace maker when all the cousins would get together at Escanaba
and Green Bay. He was a gentle spirit, but had a twinkle in his eye
when he was playfully up to something. My...

Dave was a very honest and principled business friend who will be missed greatly. I dealt with him for many many years and his ethics and integrety were without question higher than most in the industry. We all should wish for more friends and associates like Dave.

Dave--I wil remember you as a sweet, gentle cousin who has enriched my life over the last +50 yeaars. I always looked forward to your stops at our home in Gary, In. and all the times we met and had fun at our Grandmothers' home in the UP. God has taken you away but you will remain in the hearts of all those who knew and loved you.
My Christian sympathy in extended to the Cady & Kalenscher families in this time of sorrow & grief at the loss of their dear brother and uncle.

Dave: Peaceful,Kind,Generous,Concerned,Patient and Forgiving> These are the Qualities this man possessed. No one could ask to have a better friend. I met Dave as a co-volunteer at the Portland Art Museum "After Hours" Program in 1997. We made many many good friends there on both sides of the bar! Dave will be eternally missed by all.

To the family and friends of Dave: There are people you meet in life that you are truly fortunate to know. Dave was absolutely one of those people. We wish you all peace and strength thru this very difficult time. Dave was a gentleman in every sense. We will cherish his friendship and memory.

Dave was a true friend and gentlemen. We met many years ago coaching Special Olympics and though the ensuing years didn't offer to many chances to get together I always enjoyed when we spoke and caught up. I just spoke with Dave last Friday and while I feel great grief over his passing I cherish the chance to have done so. I will miss your x-mas cards and those rare chances when we did share time together my friend. John Robinson Gladstone

Our loss is heaven’s gain. Dave was one of the most kind, gentle, generous and loving person I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing. We met 18 years ago when Museum After Hours was actually in the museum. Over the years he helped with projects at my house and even contributed to my fish-filled bathroom, we enjoyed parties, the circus, comparing travel photos, attending the theater, Special Olympics ballgame with the Portland Beavers, and numerous dinners and conversations. I will always...
