Not sure what to say?

So sorry to hear of David's passing. We went all through school together, kindergarten through Glendale High School. RIP.
Judie "Wierda" Johnson, La Crescenta, CA

Thinking of you at this DIFFICULT TIME.I WILL CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR YOUR FAMILY,BUT PLEASE KNOW THAT"ALMIGHTY GOD" WILL GIVE YOU COMFORT.1COR 1:2-4

I have very fond memories of David going back many years. We were both raised in Glendale, California, attended Glendale High School and Glendale West Ward where his father was my Bishop for many years. We both went to early morning seminary following which I rode to school with him. On occasion I also went with him after school when he did some errands for his father. This provided a great opportunity to observe and really get to know him. This continued on to BYU after which we lost...

Bishop Callister was our bishop when we first moved into the LaCrescenta Ward. We loved the ward and we loved him and his family. We remember with fondness our time in LaCrescenta, CA and the wonderful people we met there. Our sincere condolences. Robert and DeAnn Fehlman

What a special person he was to our family and myself. He was very caring. We were very close over the many years, from church affiliation to eye doctor care. He will always be remembered, and missed as well. Condolences to all of the family. Karen Kline

I have so enjoyed calling this man, "Uncle Dave". For the time that I have known him, he has never had an unpleasant nature, even in his humorwhich was quick and clever. He always treated my aunt with love and respect, and it was apparent that they were good friends in addition to spouses. Despite our age gap, I felt we could communicate on a level that is seldom had between the generations. I'll miss Uncle Dave for the time, but look forward to furthering our friendship in days to come. My...

Our deepest condolences to your the Callister family(ies). Our prayers are with you.

Having grown up in La Crescenta, David has always been one of my heroes...the type of person I wanted to pattern my life after. His generosity, quick wit and thoughtful wisdom were always inspirational.

He was always an immensly positive influence on everyone who's life he touched. I am eternally grateful for the example of love, service and self sacrifice he lived.

So many wonderful memories of the times our family shared with Dave and Susan over the years. He always added sports, fun and humor to our family gatherings, and was truly loved by all! What a peaceful, insightful man....who took everybody he meet into his circle of interest and easily connected with people from all walks of life.

He will be missed by all who knew and loved him, yet his influence will continue to remain with us all.
