On March 25, 2014 we lost a beloved brother, son, uncle and friend. David R. Camper passed away suddenly and will be missed more than words can express. David was a good man with a wonderful sense of humor and a tender heart. David had been residing with family in Paradise CA for the last 4 years after having moved up from Manteca, CA. David was a former project manager for KB Homes while building was booming. After construction stopped, and his circumstances changed, David found his way closer to family. He had been working part-time for Sears-K-Mart in shipping/receiving until his health prevented him from working. Dave dearly loved watching sports, especially football, a "dyed-in-the-wool Oakland Raiders fan! He and his mom loved watching football and baseball games together, talking about teams and playing arm-chair quarterbacks. David's happiest memories were the times spent playing football for Pacific High School in San Leandro, CA where he grew up. He loved being part of the team and over the years reached out to old friends from high school to talk football stories. He drew his strength there, near the Bay and the water. His remains will be scattered at the San Francisco Bay at a future date.
David is survived by his mother, Joanna McCampbell, his father, Rod Camper, sister Marilyn (Camper) Hayes, brother Tom McCampbell, brother-in- law Tom Hayes, sister-in-law Juri Sekiguchi, nieces Rachel Gray, Danielle Gray, Ellie and Kaylie, nephew Aiden and family members Mike Gray and Justin Flatt. He will also be missed by close friends Jean Gallagher and ex-wife Maureen Camper whom he remained friends with for many years.
David's passing will leave a hole in our hearts that we can only pray that time will help to close.
A quiet Memorial Service will be held at Chapel of the Pines this Friday March 28th at 6:00 pm. 5691 Almond St. Paradise, CA 95969

Hi Babe, 11 years gone in a blink of an eye, but your loss is still felt like it was just a moment ago. I feel this most when I hear a song that reminds me of you and always with special food. I finally made that trip to Italy last July and thought of you often and how much you would’ve loved it. I felt such emotions throughout the trip and I know you must’ve been close by. You will never be forgotten♥ always with love, Sis.
