I grew up across the highway from the Motley Mansion in the '60s and early '70s. Remember it well. My daughter, now in her 30s brought both books home from a book fair in elementary school. I recently saw a post about the house on the Memories of Mesquite Facebook page. She recently found me a copy of both online. I'm reading the first one now, for the first time in 30 years. I'm sorry y'all lost him so young.

So sad about your loss. Was David the author of the Children's book about the Motley Mansion? If so I would be interested, because my family, friends and neighbors knew Mr. John well. I spent a decade at the Motley Mansion.
