I wish to give my condolences to the Cannon family & send my prayers. There have been few people in my life that were as kind to me & my family as Father & Mrs. Cannon were. He and his wife went out of their way to befriend me & help me see that there truly are "Angels walking among us on this earth. I told Father Cannon that should I ever re-marry He would officiate. He did just that for me & my husband in 2005. I will always feel blessed & humbled to have known such amazing, kind & truly...

I knew Fr. Cannon many, many years ago when I served as Co-Pastor in Gales Ferry and Chaplain at St. Bernard High School. He was a wonderful man and did so much for Ecumenism in the area. I am so sorry to hear about his passing. May he rest in peace. Jim Williamson

I was sad to hear the news about Rev. David Cannon. My sincere sympathy goes out to Ruth and Tim and Samual and Jolea and all of the family for their tremendous loss. It was a privilege to have known Dave and work with him for many years. Never once did I leave a meeting thinking that I was the teacher. He always made me realize what an honor it was to serve others. I am thankful for this man's presence in my life. May God bless all of you. Ron Haddad

Janet and my deepest sympathy goes out to Ruth and her family as the last remaining member of one of the Pillar families of Preston. I knew Rev. David Cannon and his wife Ann from the time we arrived in Preston in 1973. I worked with son Andy when he was with probation and I was with the Groton Town Police Department. Rev. Cannon and his family gave so much to the community of Preston and it shall never be forgotten. I will never forget the one time I asked Father Cannon if he could play...
