Not sure what to say?

I just drove through Flaming Gorge where Dave and I worked for the Forest service patrolling the lake on their 27´ SlickCraft boat, fire fighting and managing Lucerne Campground. Many fine memories with Dave during my two summers with the USFS. Fun time with our friends Rhonda and Cheryl during off hours. I have not seen Dave in many years but he was always in my memories especially when driving through the Flaming Gorge Country. A fine person and he is missed by many!

It was fun giving you crap and getting it back during my time at Water Resources. I probably should have made for of an effort to stay in touch after I left in 1999. We did have a nice chat in 2011 in your office though. I'm proud to call you my friend Dave.

I got to know Dave while working for the State of Idaho on water right claims. When things got hectic, Dave could take the long term view and calm things down with patience and quiet humor. I always admired that talent.

I met Dave while he was working for the U.S. Forest Service at Flaming Gorge, Utah. We shared seven years of a close and continuing friendship from 1978 to 1985 and sporadically after that. Dave had a great love for the outdoors. He loved to hike, cross country ski, canoe, hunt and developed his love of photography while living in Logan, Utah.

We spent many Saturday nights watching Saturday Night Live. He used to love The Blues Brothers perform and I think I never saw him laugh...

Dave...thank you for making my time at IDWR fun...I will always miss you. See you someday my friend. Love always.....
