To Judith and Family, I am so sorry to learn of David's passing. We were shipmates on the USCGC Morgenthau, and David helped me through a bad time in 1969, but I never realized how much until recently. I'm thankful that we were able to meet again during our Morgenthau Reunion in Durham NH back in 2003. Thoughts and prayers are offered to you and your family.

Although I did not know him, I am sure he was a wonderful man as described by his daughter, Karen, a very fine woman who I have had the pleasure of knowing for several years. My sympathies to all for whom he was a part of their lives.

Dave was kind, generous and solid. He was the original "Quiet Man". He served his Country as a Coast Guard Intel Officer and was a well known and regarded College Prof. Cerebral in nature, he had a ocommon touch which was treasured by all. The world will miss Dave. He left it in a better place.

Dave was one of the most sincere and most willing ATF Agents in the Boston Field Division. Always available to help. I vividly remember a night in Dorchester at a three-decker, with Dave right by our side. Sincere condolences to the family.
