Not sure what to say?

Connie, Phil, Diane and Jeff,

I have many happy memories of growing up in Seymour with you and your folks. My parents respected your Dad and always depended on him. He helped many people in our community in lots of different ways. I would like to offer you all my sympathy over the loss of your Dad. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

David Carper has been my uncle for 50 years. As a young kid visiting the farm with my parents and brother & sister, I always marveled at his knowledge of mechanics and his collection of treasures. I respected his sense of right and his courage to always "tell it like it is". It was a pleasure to see him last summer and catch up on things.

I want to express my sympathy to the whole Carper family. Dave was a good man and my parents and grandparents had high respects for Pat & Dave. Growing up in Seymour was really a fun time. Even 10 years ago everyone knew everyone and the Carpers had a long history if you every needed anything just go see Dave. I have not been in his garage for years but I bet it had not change much. My prayers are with you all during this time. Barb Robbins

Carper Family- We were saddened to hear about the loss of Dave. Growing up in Seymour my husband and I both had the chance to sit and talk with him on several occasions. Dave would always cruise town and hit our street the same time every evening like clock work..he would always wave. Although we no longer live in Seymour, I know the town will miss seeing him drive by..he will be missed!

I remember as a little girl you always having candy at your house for us, always offering a banana to take with us before we left, or letting us have half of that watermelon to take home with us. I will always remember going into the garage and seeing you with your cigar in mouth, sitting in your chair, watching the loud little black and white TV. I am so glad Bryan and I got to see you in March before we headed back to our homes. I remember you saying, "you want to live in those mountains...

Your family is in my prayers.

Dave Carper was always nice. He always waved and smiled when you passed him in the car.
