Not sure what to say?

Dear Carter family,
I am so very for your loss!! I met Sheriff Carter years ago and was so impressed with what I found. Dave was one of the most honorable, kind, most friendly men that I have had the privilege of knowing!!
When things like this happen, it comforts me to know that eventually we will get to see our friends and loved ones again some day.
I pray that God grants your family peace in knowing that Dave is up in heaven waiting on his loved ones to join...

Dear Carter Family sorry for your loss. I had to use Dave's Sheriff service a few time's . He was very professional and a no bull kind of man. and A great human being

Janet, I felt so sad when I heard of David's passing. I hope it helps to ease the pain in your heart and the hearts of your children, as well as the entire family, to know that so many people truly care and are mourning the loss of this great guy. I always felt like he did serve all of us in Juab County by going more than extra miles to do his job/jobs exceptionally well. He is the reason I never voted a straight ticket at the voting polls when his name was there. My heart hurts for you....

Janet & Family,

Dave kind of raised all us kids, from his sheriff days all the way to adulthood. He was bigger than life.!! Such a kind man and led a great example of such a hard worker.. He will be greatly missed by all. Our thoughts and prayers to all of you during this time of loss.

Janet and Family,
Sheriff Potter and I have known Dave for many years and worked many livestock cases with him. I worked some other common cases with him years ago and I cherish each and every memory. He was a great man and gave 110% to everything he did. He was a great Sheriff and a fantastic investigator. Most of all he was a trusted and loyal friend.

Dale F Ward, Chief Deputy and
Sheriff Kevin Potter
Box Elder County Sheriff's Office

Many happy memories of time spent with Dave. He was a great man.

Janet and family,

We are saddened to hear about the passing of Dave. You are in our prayers. He will be remembered by his kind, gentle nature. He was a friend to everyone. He would do anything for anybody. I can remember a few times when he helped us out off duty, just being Dave. He will be greatly missed by many. May God bless and comfort you at this time.
