Not sure what to say?

I had great memories with you like the time we went deep sea and you caught a fish but a shark ate half of it. Also when we caught crawfish in your pond and you cooked them and we ate them. I remember when you came out here for thanksgiving and you were off of your oxygen and walking around then you went back to Pinetop and you were jogging five miles every day;-) My favorite recipe of yours is shrimp linguini and you sure were good at making it. After all, you did start your own restaurant...

My grandfather (papa) was a man with a humorous and teasing personality that we all enjoyed. He seemed to always ask me who the little kid that many years ago that fell in his pond was. It was meHis jokes always seemed to cheer us up. He cooked for us and was very good at it for he had owned his own restaurant for over 20 years! He had an amazing way with food and knew all kinds of it especially the jalapeño pepper that he dared me to eat. He sponsored several vacations and went on some...

Papa- I love you so much and already miss you like crazy. Some of my favorite memories I've had of you is when I was little and I went strawberry picking in your garden in Pinetop- I thought I always picked the biggest and best strawberries. Years later I discovered however that those were all store bought strawberries and you just placed them among the leaves to make it look like you grew them. Little things like that made me laugh. I miss your sense of humor and how you could always make me...

Honestly I can't believe he is no longer with us on earth. He will be missed! He had a crazy sense of humor, was an amazing cook and loved us all, especially his grand kids. I am thankful for all of the memories. Papa took us on two vacations, one to Amelia Island, which included deep sea fishing and one to the Bahamas, on our first cruise. He had a big heart and was generous. He made delicious meals for us when he and mom would visit, even when he wasn't feeling well. II just wish that...

Front of the Class

My dad was a very good father despite losing his own at the age of 7. I think that may have been why he made it a point to be at every event my brother Dan and I ever had. He would shut down the restaurant so he could attend. He sincerely tried to bring out the best in us in our work ethic and character.

His amazing quick wit and funny stories made it fun for me and my friends to hang out with him. I remember during a visit home while in college, I spent hours going through old...

My sincere condolences to the Cartier family on your great loss. May you find peace and comfort during this sad time. Psalm 25:16,17.
