David Cartledge

David Cartledge McCORMICK -- David Cartledge, 67, of 290 Christian Road, died on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at his home. Born on May 06, 1947 in Plum Branch, he was the son of the late Rufus Price and the late Cecelia Cartledge Price. He is survived by one son, David (Robbie) Seigler of Edgefield, SC; one daughter, Cherrie Cartledge-Kennedy and a granddaughter, Genae Kennedy, both of Woodbridge, VA; one brother, Rufus Price, Jr. of Washington, DC; seven sisters, Martha Watkins and Laura Franklin, both of Albemarle, NC, Alice Harper of Greenwood, Willa Jones and Elaine Price, both of Washington, DC, Arnette Brooks and Yvonne Tyler, both of Maryland; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three aunts, Janie Lou Yeldell of Plum Branch, Mary Mims of North Carolina and Lillie Swearinger of Washington, DC; two uncles, Rev. Rufus Jennings of Augusta, GA, and Freddie Jennings of Washington, DC; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Graveside services are 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Lower Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Plum Branch, conducted by Pastor Melvin Gordon. The family is at the home of a son and daughter-in-law, David and Robbie Seigler, 701 Walker Road in Edgefield. Online condolences may be sent to [email protected].
