Not sure what to say?

Mr Castillo, My sincere condolences to you and your family on the loss of your son. He was a very well-respected teacher and Coach. May your memories help you through this difficult tome.

Oct. 12th will always be a sad day for me; my sister Mary Beth call to give me the news of David's condition. I will miss my childhood friend. We had one of the best sandlot neighborhood groups a kid could hope for; Mike Barbae, Byron Sharp, Pug Sanchez, Bruce Dyson, my bro Buddy. You could always count on David's participation, when getting together for a pick up game, all against all and God help you if you were on the wrong team competing against David in a game of pick up . I must...

David Castillo had a great impact on his student athletes, not because he was a great coach who took his teams to championships and not just because he was a great math Teacher, but because he was just "Coach Costello" as they so lovingly called him. He was someone they could play for, someone who taught them, and someone they could talk to. He was genuine. He made a great impact on my son at FCA coaching him in baseball, basketball, and teaching him in the classroom. I didn't realize how...

I went to all four years at Episcopal High with David, and he was one of my very best friends there. Come to think of it, he was one of everyone's best friends there. I have many memories - all of them cherished - of hanging out at each other's houses, going to LSU football games, and particularly our Easter, 1975 trip to Pensacola with David Bujol, Conway LeBlanc & Joe Adomitis in the Bujol family's airstream. We were so naive we couldn't get in trouble at Spring Break in Florida! I...

Please accept my sincere condolences, May the love of family and friends comfort you through your grief and days ahead, let loving memories of David warm your heart Isaiah 61:1,2 "God binds up the brokenhearted and comforts all who mourn."

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy; I am so sorry for your great loss. May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn" sustain your family during this challenging time. Isaiah 61:1,2.

Mr. Ted, Ms. Bunny and Family:
I was shocked to see David's obituary notice this morning. It brought back a flood or good, good memories from the Old Goodwood neighborhood in the '60's and '70's. How many full speed-tackle football games were played in your front yard on Finchley Street (with no helmets or pads)? How many innings of baseball were argued over at the vacant lot on Government Street? When we played basketball in the Guillory's driveway we knew David was good, but at the...

Bunny,Ted, M'Lou and family,

So sorry to learn of your lost from Mary Johnson. May God grant you His peace and comfort in the days ahead.
