Not sure what to say?

We shared an Aunt. Aunt Connie Drega from Rockfall. Dave took care of Aunt Connie like she was his mom! Plumbing, electric, TV, phone, her car and wrought iron railings!! Always a gentleman, always polite and always patient. He was the epitome of selflessness. A man you could count on!! I will never forget all the times he helped our Aunt Connie. We will never forget his cakes either!! God broke the mold when he created David Cekala. Rest in peace " cousin". You will be missed.

Single Memorial Tree

Approaching age seventy-four far faster than I would like, I have decided that my memory does not work as well as it once did. I have no direct memories of David from our time at Xavier, but I know that he and I were classmates and graduated together in 1967.

Xavier High School extends sincere condolences to all of David's family and friends. David will remain in the prayers of this Xavierian community.

I knew Dave from work he was a great guy, he was easy going always had a smile on his face , when you needed him to do his MCL trade work he always did a great job! Glad he got to retire a few years before he passed. RIP good friend

I'm sorry to hear of the passing of a former XHS classmate. Prayers and condolences for his family.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
