Not sure what to say?

Mr. Chaffin was a wonderful person and a very sweet man. I will never forget his greetings and how he made you feel welcomed in his house 24 hours of the day. He is a very special individual and he will surely be missed.

Dear Deb,

On behalf of Cindy and the Kids, I would like to add our condolences upon David's untimely passing. I'm glad that I got the opportunity to meet him and Nadine although it was only once. Cindy printed out the many tributes to him in the guest book. It speaks volumes about David that the words used over and over were kindness, generosity, integrity and love of God.

He was truly a wonderful man

I am so sorry for your loss. Please accept my deepest sympathies. May God give you and Matthew peace and comfort during this time.

David, what a special man and more than that what a special individual! I will remember his kind gentle ways to all his Higginbotham coworkers. I liked that he made it a point to say hi to you when he was in the Dallas office. We couldn't wait to see which unique tie he would be wearing. Nadine & Matthew - my sympathies to you both.

I am so very sorry for the loss of your husband/father--and so suddenly. I, too, had the pleasure of working with David at Crum & Forster. What a personality! David had such charm, warmth and goodness to him that his presence stayed with you even after he left the room. I am sure these same qualities will stay in your hearts forever. He will truly be missed in this world. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in these difficult times.

Nadine and Matthew, our hearts are saddened by the loss of your beloved husband and dad. The warmth of David's smile and handshake will resonate forever and he will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

David is one of a kind, a true gentleman, and I was blessed to have known and worked with him. I will forever smile when I think of him encouraging me to come to tennis because, in his words, I had game.

Your family is in our thoughts and prayers and may you be comforted...

Dear Nadine and Matthew, I was so sorry to hear of David's passing. My thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathy are with you both.

David and I worked together at Higginbotham. He would always come and get me to go with him to adjust other employees chairs after he did his ergonomics study on their posture. He always made me feel as if I were the most important person in the building. I will miss him greatly. My best wishes to his family.

I only met with David two times, but each time he made me feel like we had been friends for years. I met David 3 years ago when I was still in college. David agreed to let me shadow him for a few hours during the day. David shared a wealth of information with me and even prepared a packet that I could take home! David introduced me to a few of his clients and never made me feel like my shadowing him was a bother. I will always remember David for the kind way that he treated me. I am...
