I remember playing baseball against David in High School as I attended Pisgah High School in Canton, NC. He was a tremendous pitcher and I always remember I actually got a hit off a pitcher who went on to play in the big leagues. Great guy and I'm truly sorry to hear of David's passing. It was an honor to have played on the same field with him. Rest in peace...

It is the Fourth of July. Sitting out back and thought of you and your family. Enjoyed those many 4th of July vacations in Sandbridge.

I just found out that David has passed. I went to Vance Elementary with him and remember him after all these years because of his legendary athletic talent, whichever team picked him for any sport was almost sure to win. More than that though I remember his strong character that was evident even at that early age. I grieve with those who loved him and trust that by now God's comfort has allowed you to be filled with thanks for his life.

Hot and sunny in Florida today. Just thought of the great times in sunny Sandbridge.
