The Tulane Greenbackers send their condolences and prayers to David and the Chidester family on his passing. We met "Chet" as we knew him back in 2017 when he stopped by our tent at a Tulane Football Tailgate. He was in town for his 40th reunion. He became a member soon after. Even though we only saw him when he came to town for tailgates, we enjoyed catching up with The Judge. I´ve attached a picture of the first time I met Chet at the tailgate in 2017. Thank you for your work at the Caring Place! As Well as, with Protection Order Forms! I currently just had a Protection Order extended on March 8th 2024 and I was so relieved with how little paperwork it was. I wonder if you had something to do with that! God Bless You! Godspeed!

My heartfelt sympathies to Jim, Jessie, and the rest of Dave´s family. He and I served together on the Porter County Sheriff´s Merit Board. He was very bright and soft spoken. I shared his interest in the Civil War. He left us way too soon. May he RIP!

David Chidester was the best judge for Porter County area for many years. He was a very fair person when it came to solving a case.

He was a good person and will be missed.
