Not sure what to say?

Dave was a wonderful friend to my mother, Johanna Rodman, for 46 years, even since she joined the staff of Food [later: Merkert] Enterprises. In the first years of this decade, when my late father was in his last illnesses, Dave provided much needed moral support and companionship in Florida. His good cheer and vitality will be very much missed by my mother and all our family.

Dear Chiller Family,

We want you to know that we are thinking of you and sending lots of love your way. We will never forget David. He was a lot of fun to talk with, play cards with and simply to be around. David was a person of impact and will never be forgotten by his family and friends. Peace.
Love, Martha, Billy, Lori, Bobby and Jerry Lerman

Remember when you were a kid and wanted to grow up and become something special? I believe David Chiller (Mr. "C" as I called him) did that. He will be remembered with respect and admiration for his kindness by me and others whose lives he touched. To my friend Carole, Mike, Bobby and the rest of the Chiller Family, I extend my deepest sympathy for your loss.

Carole and Bobby, Our family is very sorry for your loss and our thoughts are with you.

Mr. Chiller,
Sir, I didn't know you, but as a fellow Marine, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USMC during WW II in the Pacific. The history and accomplishments made by you and your fellow Marines in WW II are what all of us Marines who have followed in your footsteps have always tried to live up to. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

I had the privilege of working with Dave for twenty five (25) years at Merkert Enterprise and Dave was one great businessman and person to be associated with. May he rest in peace.

To the Chillers and their Extended Family,
I have known Mr. Chiller and his amazing wife, Blossie since the late 60's. They were committed parents and grandparents and just wonderful friends. I have had the pleasure of being in their company in Boston and in Los Angeles and remember a man who was full of life. He truly could walk faster than any one man I know. He leaves a wonderful daughter and someone I call a friend. May he rest in peace and I thank him for his kindnesses.

Semper Fi Marine Chiller.
The Dept. of Ma. Marine Corp League thanks you for your service to God, our Country, and to our beloved Corps.
To David's family we send our deepest sympathies and our prayers on your loss and the loss of our Brother. His courage, honor and valor has earned him his place beside our Supreme Commandant where all Marines will stand their final watch. Because of David and others just like him we enjoy the priveleges that we all have today. He was a true hero of the...
