Not sure what to say?

David was my supervisor for a number of years and we also shared a love for the martial arts. The last time I saw him was at a karate tournament in Bayonne around the time that he retired. We had a great conversation and I looked forward to many more, unfortunately he left us not too much longer after that.

I heard about Dave's passing today. I worked with Dave at #39 school 20 years ago. He was one of the best special education teachers in Jersey City. So very sorry for your loss. He will be greatly missed.

I worked with Dave for years at the Jersey City Board of Education. He was a good man and a great friend and an inspiration for us all. He will be missed. My prayers go out to his family during this difficult time.

Truly sorry for your loss, David was a true gentleman in every scene of the word. He always had a smile on his face and nothing but good things to say to all he had encountered RIP David...

Dave my dear friend and musical brother. My heart breaks for your family. I will miss your witty and funny sarcasm, and your kind, warm, caring nature. I will think of you whenever I hear This Diamond Ring and Cripple Creek and the jokes that were behind it. A true friend and family man. You will be missed terribly. Rest sweetly in eternal peace and light in the arms of our Lord Dave I love you my brother

David was truly a great guy. I knew him from Isshinryu going back to 1974 when we started training in Bayonne. He and I shared some great days at the dojo on 19th street as well as when we went out for a beer at the Big Apple Lounge. Dave made me laugh which is a great gift. And that Dave smile - the best. A devoted family man who had a passion for teaching. He will be missed. See you someday in heaven Davey and we will spar a bit and do some kata. You were one in a million. Condolences to...

This is very sad. I'm very sorry.

RIP Dave! Deepest sympathy to his family and extended family. Dave was a good guy!

My First cousin David. He passed away on Wednesday at the young age of 61. He leaves a space in many lives, including mine. David was a teacher, a mentor, caregiver, musician, martial artist, a hell of a salesman and foremost a father and husband.
He was the type of guy that would seek you out when he knew you needed
guidance(me), and not give up until you got the message that he cared.
I will never forget your kindness. Love you cousin.
