I have lost a great friend. A friend that gave me one of my first coaching jobs. With him I learned more about the game of basketball than I ever knew before. Dave was a great coach, but also a caring teacher. Simply - he was a good man. Coach - tip off time will be delayed in heaven, until you get there.

We will never forget the '83 AA district final at Waite HS of Oak Harbor vs Cardinal Stritch. It appeared that Stritch won on a baseline drive from Tom Lynn and 2 points, but then Lynn was called for a charge(very controversial) and Oak Harbor ended up winning, moving on to both regionals and states. May Coach Christie rest in peace.
