Not sure what to say?

Just received word of Dave's passing. Thoughts prayers to the family. Worked with Dave for years as an enforcement officer for the Department. Traveled and played many many rounds of golf with the true sportsman. God rest his soul.

Those of us who had the honor of working with David on the VPR/StoryCorps project in association with the 2010 Alzheimers: Forgetting Piece by Piece exhibition at Shelburne Museum are deeply grateful to David and the Cloughs for so freely sharing your story. He was a wonderful man and we are glad that he is finally at peace. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

Although I was saddened to learn of Dave's passing, it brought a smile to my face to remember the many times we partied on Clarendon Ave. in the "old" neighborhood. Dave was also very thoughtful visiting our parents when he was in Montpelier. They appreciated it so much. Harry and I send our sympathy to the family and wish you peace. Ruth Cleveland Reynolds

To Mark & Phyllis

Please know I was saddened to learn of David's passing, but am comforted with the knowledge that he is finally at peace. David and I shared a very loving and special relationship; and I will cherish -- with a strong fondness -- the memories we experienced throughout our many years together. Special condolences to Danny and Mark who David consistently spoke of with immeasurable love and pride.

My sincere sympathy goes out to the Clough family

My deepest sorrow on Daves passing, I knew David and Peter in our youth in Noethfield. I am Red Austin, I lived on the hill on Vine Street and knew these guys till I went into the USN. Much love coming your way, the Lord needed a good man! red austin

So sorry to hear about Dave's passing. Frank and I always enjoyed Dave's company at the Clarendon Avenue picnics. Our sympathy. Frank and Jean Cleveland Looke.

David was a wonderful man. He was my Director at Water Quality for years and he was the best one we ever had. He was so wonderful to everyone, he will be missed.
