Not sure what to say?

I was stunned to hear that Dr. Cook had passed away during my endo visit at OHSU yesterday. During my last visit with him before his retirement, I told him how much he meant to me and how grateful I was for his consummate, meticulous care and I thanked him for saving my life when other doctors had the diagnosis all wrong. He had been my endocrinologist for 15 years and I trusted him completely. We were both in tears at that visit; I am so glad I expressed my feelings of appreciation and how...

Marie, I was so sorry to hear of Dr Cook's passing. He was an amazing doctor who changed my life for the better. I had given up on doctors until I met Dr Cook in 1985, but he cared enough to help me, the first doctor who ever did so. He was a remarkable man who made such a difference to his patients

Nurse Marie, so sorry to hear about Dr. Cook's passing. He saved my life. My prayers and thoughts go out to you and family. He was a very special man that made a difference.

I was shocked to learn of David's death. As a colleague of some 30 years, I knew and respected David as a consummate clinician and teacher. I admired his ability to give so much to his profession, while maintaining his devotion to family. My heart goes out to Marie and family.

may you rest in peace dr. cook. you are in my prayers.

Hello Cook Family, so sorry to hear about your loss, it was very close to our dad Joel's passing as well. Dr. Cook was always very friendly to Joel and Josie and would say hello to them in the Multnomah Club whenever they saw each other. All the best to my old friend Paul and the rest of the family.

I am so sorry to hear about Dr. Cook's passing. I had the very great pleasure to be a colleague of his at OHSU. He got me invloved in teaching endocrine pathology to the sophomore medical students. He was always such a gentleman and a gentle man. He was an excellent physician.

I'm very sorry and saddened to read his passing.. He was my favorite client and I'll miss seeing him and cutting his hair. I enjoyed his stories and hearing about his travels with his family. Such an wonderful sweet man and he will be missed!

Marie and family,

I just heard about Dr. Cook's passing yesterday. I was so sad to hear this, he was a wonderful man, and so enjoyed working with him. I can still hear him saying, your job should you choose to accept it. He will leave a whole in many hearts. Hopefully you get comfort knowing how many lives he touched.

Hugs to you Marie...
