David Cooper

David was a charmer with an infectious laugh and was great fun to be with. While he was in New York as a graphic designer I had the occasion to hire him for graphic design for the International Center of Photography. We became fast friends over the course of a few projects.

I first met David in 1970 when we both had returned from naval cruises dodging cannonballs in the Tonkin gulf. We worked together at GraphicSouth in Birmingham as graphic artist_what great fun that was! We became good friends as we started our families. I remember the joy David exhibited the day Nancy gave birth to Ainsley.
