Not sure what to say?

David was one of my best friends. Though we didn't speak often enough, time never diminished our connection over the last 20+ years. His wit, intellect and character was second to none. He was a brilliant conversationalist, photographer, appreciator of the arts, and artist of the highest merit. I loved him so, and I will miss him dearly. I wish with all of my heart that I was there for him more than I was able to be and I will always cherish his memory and hold it as a blessing. My sincere...

Dave was a friend when we were in our twenties, in the cafe scene in Charleston. His Blue Door Gallery had some of the loveliest events in my memory. He was a community builder. We reconnected a few years ago when I was visiting Charleston, and I felt lucky to see him again-- such a kind and interesting person. It is very sad to learn that he is gone so soon. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Dave was a beloved friend who brought so much joy to my life. He will always be loved and remembered.

I met David shortly after moving to Charleston in the early 90's. We shared a love for photography, good conversation and a Harp or two at AC's bar. David represented the warmth and lack of pretension present in the Charleston social scene at the time. Charleston was accessible and friendly because of people like David. He loved to stir the pot of our unique port city. He cultivated friendships in all areas of the arts, gathering groups of people often with the idea of collaboration. The Blue...

David was a storyteller. He would tell a beautiful story of his experiences, of places he has been and of people he encounter. He was in love with people around him. He loved them dearly from hisheart. He would always tell me how kind one is and how much he loves them. I think, they were kind and loving because he was indeed very kind and loving individual.

He was strong and very sensitive guy. He felt alot.He was real, existed here and devoted when you share the moment of space. He was...

David was like the brother I never had. Because of their love of photography, he and my father became first colleagues and then friends. As my daughter became interested in photography he was a mentor. He had a quiet presence and capability and great talent. My condolences to his family. I would be grateful to know of any memorial that is planned for a later date. Ciao ciao, David.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

We love and miss you David! You were a good friend, always with a listening ear and funny story. Rest in peace.

I send my sincere condolences to the family at this time of loss. My memories of David were always bright and cheerful. And I do not have a memory from GCHS when he wasn't smiling or making other smile. His bright light will have to shine among the angels now. Peace be with you.
