David L. Cotterill

I´m over a month late learning of David´s passing and it seems impossible - I guess I thought of him as immortal. Surely his spirit is! I took care of the landscape at Salt Marsh, the home in Sanderling that he and Joan loved. I remember the first job I did for him displeased him greatly! That surprised me, since I thought it was a challenging job well done, but figured that was the last I would hear from him. He stuck with me, though, and we became friends. Dear Joan, Al was always so fond of Dave and you! Dave hired him at Wachovia for his first job after college and the army--and there he remained for 35 years, always grateful for Dave's guidance and friendship. Dave was a delightful man always with a smile and a quip. My heart goes out to you and the family and I wish you comfort and peace. Best regards in sympathy, Robyn Mixon
