I can't believe it's been a year I miss David he will always be remembered in my heart he was a friend he was a mentor he was a giant to me. My husband and I speak of David often. He was a wonderful person and friend.

I just found out about the passing of my former colleague, Professor David Covin. I met him while I was director of Women's Studies at California State University in Sacramento. David was an inspiration and a supportive colleague, whose kindness knew no bounds. His selfless devotion to his students was admirable and his leadership and activism at the university and in the community will never be forgotten. My deepest sympathy to his family. May his brilliant soul rest in perfect...

I will miss David dearly he made time for all even the lowly. David was an amazing man and will be truly missed.

I saw one of your books at Underground Books and I knew you had to be Wendy's father. She talked about how your family had Maya Angelou over for dinner. Now, I see how she looked like you with that wonderful smile! I was a student in the same class as Wendy at Bishop Manogue HS. May God continue to bless Mrs.Covin and Holly.

My condolences to the Covin family. I always admired Professor Covin for his intellectual thought, intelligence, gentlemanly style, and never ending commitment to family and community. He was one of my favorite professors during my undergrad work at Sac State beginning the fall of 1989 until I graduated with a bachelors of arts degree in political science in 1993. Professor Covin was always a light, inspiration and uplift. Even after college I was honored to have more opportunities to...
