To all the Crandall Family,

I was deeply saddened to hear of David's passing. He was such a wonderful person in so many ways. I will forever cherish the memories of our companionship in the field and on the stream.

Deepest sympathies,

Dear David and Peter,

Your father was a trusted and admired friend and an inspiring role model to me. I treasure the hunting and fishing trips and his family's stories he shared with me. He was iconic, like a John Wayne character. I could feel the Idaho sagebrush desert in him when he talked.

Bless you,

Jim Holbrook

Such a lovely man. My privilege to have known him. I love you all Crandall's. Loving thoughts for all of you at this very tender time. May your hearts be comforted by loving memories.

On behalf of the Metzger/Crandall side of the family in KY, CN & CA, David represented the best of the line of his era. We know he will be sorely missed and remembered with great love.

I was the luckiest girl ever to know Mr. C We had a friendship that can never be replaced. And I will cherish that forever in my heart.
