Not sure what to say?

You were so wonderful and considerate to me and I will miss you very much. I loved hearing about your family and send my condolences. I'll always remember you saying "I'm the sylists - you're the customer!"

Dear Maria Teresa,

David was a remarkable person who cared in so many ways and created beauty in his salon. He also, I understand, was a mentor to the boys in Troup 14. My sons were members of the Troup long years ago;Milton is now a City College Trustee, David who lives on the peninsula, is involved with scouting.

They join me in deep sympathy to you and your family. We know the pain as we miss our husband and father every day.

We hope that you have comfort in the years...

Dear Maria Teresa, Maria, william and Alex,
We are all so sorry to hear of Olivers passing. Our hearts are with you and we send love and support. If you need anything please dont hesitate to call. Love, Tim , Jeanne, Joseph and Elizabeth Zuzel

I didn't know David well, but I know of him by being in the Hair Biz. I worked at the Phillip Mason Salon on Van Ness for over a decade and remebering through the grape vine, only good things were expressed of David and he was admired by his peers. He will be missed. My best to his family.

I was the receptionist, earning wonderful perks (hair, facials, manicures, etc.), back in the late eighties when David Oliver Hair Studio was known by another name. I remember that time as special, and remember Oliver as a talented man who hired really talented, imaginative and creative stylists and colorists. It was magical to be a part of booking the society types and those looking for an excellent cut. I was sorry to see that he is no longer among us, and my heart goes out to his family....

Oliver was always such a pleasure to be around, but most of all he was a wonderful conversationalist. We chatted about everything: our children, real estate, politics and the challenges of owning a small business. He kept me up to date on his children – he was so proud of you all – and I followed you through the days at NDV and Sacred Heart Cathedral; Maria Theresa (who babysat our daughters) and her theatrical promise during her days at Santa Catalina, graduation from Fordham, to her...

To Maria, Maria Teresa, William and Alexander,
Over 20 years, not a haircut went by when David and I didn't talk about you and how proud he was of each you. He was a rare person on this earth possessing strong values, insightfulness, a gregarious personality and generous spirit. We were all blessed to have known him.

My thoughts are with the Creasey family at this time.
His wonderful spirit and kindness meant so much to me and our children who frequented his shop over many years.
I always felt so relaxed when talking with him and the haircut was always secondary to the experience. But what a talent!

I was so sorry to be out of town for the memorial service but was there in spirit.

I am so sorry about the loss of David. I was in his chair only last Tuesday and was shocked to return home from vacation and hear of his loss. My prayers are with you and yours.
