My sympathy to his family. I worked in same department as David and we all thought a lot of David. He was an all around good person. My prayers are with the family.

David and I started our first job together as chemists at ICL. We were both 23 years old. One of his sons and my son played baseball together at Father Ryan HS and had a great time watching them play . David was a good friend and a great all around guy.

I am heartbroken to learn of this loss, and wish to share my sincere condolences with the family. David was an outstanding individual who worked with humility, quiet competence, and a can-do attitude. He was always a pleasure to be around, grounded in all the right things. This is a terrible loss and yet I am grateful that I got to know him and work with him at Vanderbilt. What a wonderful spirit.

My enduring memory of him will be as a family man, intensely proud of what he and Deb had worked so hard together to create. It was impossible to have a conversation or meeting with David without first listening to him recount the latest family achievement, whether it be sporting, academic, social or professional. I know he will be...
