David Martin Crowley Jr.

Uncle David was my Great Uncle. And truly GREAT he was. David is my middle name, thanks to him. I am named after the brothers Frank and David, my mom's (Peggy Uchman's) favorite uncles.

I remember how big and strong David was when I was a little boy. He was the only person I'd ever known who could literally toss me into the air and catch me every time. I came to look forward to his visits to our house, because I knew I'd be flying! My mom told me he had a stint as a "catcher"...

Uncle David, you were larger than life. Thanks for loving me and believing in me when I didn't. And thank you for what you have meant to my mom.

Save me some ice cream and Dr. Pepper up there!
