The Christian Benevolent Funeral Home-MMS announces with the deepest sympathy the transition of David C. Crumpton Jr


David Caesar Crumpton was born to David and Rosie Crumpton on August 20, 1954, in Mobile, Alabama and departed this life on Thursday, November 3, 2022. David was a native and resident of Mobile, Alabama.


David received his childhood education in the Mobile County Public School System, culminating at the historic Toulminville High School.  He then started his career with the Mobile Water and Sewer System, retiring after many years of dedicated service. He was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life, Linda Martin for 35+ years.  David received Christ as his Lord and Savior and united with the Greater Union Baptist Church, under the late Rev. F. L. Bush.  He was an avid fisherman and hunter.  David was a “people person,” he loved to smile, and he never met a stranger.


He is preceded in death by his parents, aunts and uncles.


David leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife, Linda Martin Crumpton. Three daughters, Prophetess Tiffany (Apostle Eric) Loftin, Jessica Crumpton and Daneshia Crumpton of Mobile, AL.  One son, Aaron (Meiko) Martin of Mobile, AL.  Granddaughters, Kimberly Barren, Kristy Moffett, Krystal Moffett, Kiersten Moffett, Jaylyn Crumpton, Addison Crumpton, Rose Crumpton and Camilla Crumpton of Mobile, AL, Grandsons, Aaron Martin, Jr, Christopher Moffett, Jr., Ashton Martin Dominic Loftin and Kendrick Crews of Mobile AL. One sister, Andreda Mosley of Mobile AL. Seven great grandchildren, Khristopher Patton, Jr, Timothy Perryman, Jr., Korey Moffett, Michael Taylor, Jr., London Perryman, Paris Perryman, and Kourtlynn Hargrove, all Mobile, AL. Brothers, Minister Charles (Minister Valerie) Crumpton, Dallas, TX and Isaac Crumpton, Mobile, AL; Sisters-in-law, Doris Martin Perry, Mobile AL and Patricia Taylor, Los Angeles CA. Devoted cousin, William Carter. Devoted Friends, Joel Singleton, Gary Singleton, Solomon Smallwood and Jack Fitzpatrick “Red”.  A host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
