GREENVILLE — David William Culbertson, age 82, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019. He was born in Greenville on October 14, 1936.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Isabel (Urban) Culbertson, two daughters, Lee (Dr. John) Turner and Carol (Tom) Culbertson-Attak, and one grandson, Matthew. Also two stepdaughters, four step-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Rolla and Catherine (Irwin) Culbertson, and his two sisters, Catharine Skove and Dorothy Pack, and his beloved dog, Rufus.

Dave was an avid golfer and longtime member of the Greenville Country Club, where he patiently taught his two daughters to play golf. He was the treasurer of the Greenville Art Guild and was involved in the restoration of Memorial Hall. He also enjoyed collecting Niloak pottery, Sudoku, yard work, and dinner with his dear friends. I attended St. Mary's with Dave (two years behind him)and he also played on our church league softball team. He was a class act then and apparently remained so for his entire life. My sympathy to his family and loved ones.

Carol,

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well live.

May the road rise up to meet you.

May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face;

the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,

may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
