Not sure what to say?

Dear Mrs. Darnall and Family,
I grew up in Benton on Green Hill Drive with David (Ace). We played Little League baseball on the same team. I played high school basketball and baseball with David. We played against each other while David was a Murray State and I was at Lambuth. He was a great friend. My golf team at Calhoun Community College, in Decatur, Al, played Shelby State for several years. That was how I found out David was teaching there.
My thoughts and...

Dear Mrs. Darnall. I heard yesterday of David's death and I was shocked and saddened. David, "Ace", as we all called him at Benton
High School, was an outstanding individual. I was in the class behind
David and I played basketball with him for three years. I consider myself priveleged to have known David and to have been his teammate. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.'

Dear Pat, I was shocked to hear from a friend in Benton that David had passed. I haven't seen you or David for many years but I do fondly remember the visits we had at Murray and in Memphis when you were at Memphis State and I was at UT Memphis. You have my sincerest condolences and I wish for you and your family that God will comfort you. Phillip Morgan, Paducah, KY

Mrs. Darnall,

I'm deeply saddened to hear of the passing of your husband. I will always appreciate him taking time out of his busy schedule to help tutor me while I was a freshman at the U of M. I will remember the stories you told about your lives together nearly every day in 2nd and 7th period fondly. You two were truly two peas in a pod.

The sorrow of the faithful is not that of permanent loss, but the tender sense of sadness that comes in saying good bye for now to...

I was so shocked and sadden to hear about dr. Darnall's death. I had a course taught by him recently and enjoyed it so much I recommended him to other students. It pains me that such a great man is gone. He was so ince and would grant any favor you would ask of him. May he truly rest in peaces now. You are TRULY TRULY missed. To the family stay strong and continue to pray. He is looking down on you

Pat and Family and Sara and Family, so sorry to hear of David's death! My prayers and thoughts are with all of you. So glad I got to talk to him at the Mathis/Darnell Reunion this summer. What a terrific and productive man! Cousin Shirley Mathis Lansden Poppe

I am devastated to hear of Dr Darnell's passing. Not only was he a kind and caring individual, he was an exceptional professor who made a difference in the lives of his students. He leaves an unfillable void and words can not describe how much he will be missed.
