Not sure what to say?

He was my favorite teacher of all time. I was in his art class sometime between 2007-2008. I am a middle school teacher now and I often think about how much of an impact he had on me. I was absolutely horrible at art, but I loved his class. (Now that I am a teacher though I realized that this is one of the biggest compliments you can receive from a student.) He was the type of teacher that genuinely cared about his students. I am sure he is still missed by those that knew him. I wanted to...

Tim, Connie and Nathan Welty want to express our condolences and prayers to the family at this time of your loss.
Mr. Dougherty was a great friend and encourager to students and such a gifted teacher. We are grateful to have known him.
May God comfort hearts at this time.

I remember looking at his painting in awe and wondering how someone could be so patient and take so much care to make such pieces. He was an amazing artist and spectacular teacher. I know he touched the...

I am an 18 year old student at Mason High school, and I was extremely sad to hear the announcement of Mr. Daugherty's death today in school. I knew he had been sick but I was not aware it was so severe.
The sudden anoucement today caused me to think back to seventh grade, when he was my art teacher. He was always very elated to be teaching his art classes, and all of the students loved his positive attitude. My friends and I loved his class and looked forward to it during the day, because...
