Read MoreI was very sad to hear of Mr. Davis' passing. He was a great teacher and a great friend. I was priviledged to have been one of his students and the impact he made on my life was great. I would see Mr. Davis often and we would share a laugh about the old days. He touched many lifes. The world has lost a great soul.

I came to know Mr. Davis through his work at the Pants Store. He always exemplified class,dignity, and pride in every aspect. He touched so very many lives and made such a positive difference. A truly remarkable man who will always hold a special place in my heart.

I am so sorry for the loss of David. He was one of the sweetest people you could ever meet in your life time.I was proud to call him my friend all through school and we would see each other in Leeds, Ashville or Springville. Mr. Davis was one of my all time favorite teachers from Moody High. I will never forget his uncanny ability to say things just as they were, no sugar coating. Til this day, I still do the same with my own students. I shall sorely miss him. On a lighter note, I can remember him always encouraging me, as he would say " Whitehead, you know you were always one of my top students" He always mentioned this every time he'd run into me. Not only did I know this, but everyone in the whole store knew...

Mr. Davis was a former student of mine at St. Clair County High School. All of his teachers were very proud of all he had accomplished. Because he was such an outstanding person, you just knew he would succeed at whatever he wanted to do. I will surely miss his warm greeting and smiling face. His family and friends are in my prayers.
