Not sure what to say?

He was my professor at the school of journalism University of Kentucky Excellent Journalism and more important a wonderful person

I remember David Dick from 1971 when he came to Tampa on assignment. I was a noon anchor and reporter at the CBS affiliate. He was sitting in the news room in the afternoon as we were preparing the six o'clock newscast. He asked me where he could get a good hamburger. I suggested that Tampa had several excellent and nationally-known restaurants. I was used to other CBS crews that came to Tampa and always ate at the best restaurants (on expense accounts, of course). Mr. Dick just shrugged and...

I didn't know David well, he had passed when I was only four, but based on the stories I've heard, I'm glad to share his birthday and be his great-grandson.

I was a very good friend of David aboard the USS Manchester during the Korean War. We went on liberty together many times. I could not have had a better friend. Please accept my condolences.

David Dick changed my life with a small piece of advice: keep a daily journal. I was new at the news game with CBS news when I had the pleasure to work with David on several stories during the war years in Central America. It was in Nicaragua when I first met him. I remember him and his incredible body of work, fondly. I'm sorry I just found out of his passing.

Dear Lalie
I was so previleged to know you and David and count you as friends when we lived in Dallas years ago. I remember listening to David read from his journal and could listen to his stories for hours. He was also a kind and gentle soul. I know you miss him terribly. I'm so sorry that I have so belatedly learned of his passing. You are I my thoughts and prayers.
Affectionately

My grandmother Belva Chamberlain spoke of him often. He came to her home and visited when I first met him. I have purchased several of his books and loved them all. I am so sorry for your loss.

I took a summer class that Mr. Dick taught at the University of Kentucky back in the mid 90's. A fellow student had sent me a message the other days asking me if I knew Mr. Dick had passed away. We both shared a few memories of the class and reflected on what an amazing opportunity we had to have him as a teacher. So sorry for your loss...know he impacted me and many others in a positive way.

Dear mrs Dick. Sorry for your loss. Your husband could touch hearts through his writing. He will be sadly missed.
