Iam Steve "Bugs" Hall .I was a classmate of Dave at St Rita's grade school in Dundalk Md.I also was at Mt St Joe HS.in Balto 1960 to 64.I played foot ball with him at St Rita's one yr.He was my idol then and remained so all these yrs.a great athlete, fearless and kind.use to ride him out to St Joe at times. At St Joe he was pretty much what we had during his time there in Football..I went to the 50 yr reunion at St Joe in 2014 and saw he was in the HOF.well deserved....just wanted to say RIP...

It was a sincere pleasure meeting you at the reunion and having the opportunity to enjoy David's companionship once again. I am deeply saddened by your loss. David and I spent time together last year in Laughlin, NV. He was great company for the car ride back from Laughlin to Las Vegas. It was a pleasant hour and a half in which we shared stories from the days in OCS and the many years since. David was notably proud of his family. New friends are silver, but old friends...

Patti, we the Officer Candidate School classmates of David are deeply saddened by the untimely passing of our classmate at our 42nd reunion of our graduation form Infantry OCS on June 22, 1967 at Fort Benning Georgia.
We were so pleased to see you and David at our recent reunion in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
