I worked with Dave at VLSI in the early 90's as well. Scott Delforte was my boss, and Dave the TC manager. Two of the best guys I've had the pleasure to work with, ever! Scott was the best boss I've ever had. Nobody worked harder than those two. Still blows my mind they are both gone, way too early. My first meeting at Ring in Malvern, PA was about 2 years ago. The entire top level staff was there and in walked Dave, as he was COO. So happy to see him. He was noticeably going through...

Remembering Dave on his birthday today -- I only learned of his untimely passing a few months ago. As Dave rose to positions of increasing responsibility, he had a positive impact on the careers of a great many engineers, including yours truly. Many fond memories of our years working in the same small office at VLSI Technology.

I too recently learned of David's passing, and was deeply saddened to hear the news.
I worked with Dave at VLSI Technology for many many years and had a tremendous amount of respect for Dave as an engineer and as a person. He was one of the best!

I am shocked. I just found out about this when another VLSI Tech manager died this week. Dave was a great person and co-worker that was easy to work and talk with. Today just got very bad finding out that not one but 2 lost their lives too early.

I worked for Dave at VLSI in the 90's. He was a terrific boss. I remember a particular conference call including all of the Tech Center Managers. After several inputs were received for a question he presented to the group, "Cindy, do you have any comments?". The question caught me off guard, and I stumbled. Later he reminded me that phone mics were designed around men's voices. As the only woman on the call, he wanted to make sure I was heard. Maybe so, or maybe he was pranking me? He...

I worked with Dave at ATI/AMD/Broadcom. He was great to work with and always up for a laugh. I remember the mystery murder party where he had everyone in stitches. It is a great shock to hear of his passing. Please accept my condolences. He will be missed.

I worked with David @ VLSI for several years. He was always very gracious and very professional. One of the truly good guys, and far too young for this. God Bless him and his family.
