I remember your Dad as quite an advocate for the Flint community. As a strong supporter of Flint myself, I used to see him at many events and meetings. I have since moved to the East Coast and read about your Dad on-line. I'm so sorry for your loss. Your Dad was a wonderful person, who seemed to exhibit an old-fashioned sense of pride, integrity and class. I'm glad I had the opportunity to know him.

Dr. Doherty was an amazing man! I had the privilege of working with him, in his service as long-time board member of Metro Community Development. He worked tirelessly to make Flint a better community in which to live. He was a gift to all who knew him.
