Near 30 years ago now, our neighbor, David Donielson, came to talk to us about putting up a fence between our two properties. The fence went up, but the neighborliness between our families never changed. I recall that first acquaintance particularly well because Dave, a proud father, carried his baby son Logan along in a backpack.
Now Dave and Heather´s fig tree, once unseen behind the fence, is as tall as their roofline, and the row of blueberry bushes that he so loved are established and...

My dear friend Heather, it is such a sad time to hear of Dave´s passing. Urm told me just today about it. Dave was such a large and cheerful man, full of life and exuberance. I can hear him now as I write and hope these memories will be with you as well. Sending love and sincere hugs to you and your family, Marty

To Heather, Whitney & Logan, your husband and father, Dave, will be missed by many, and it was truly an honor to be his neighbor for the last 20 years. He always had a smile on his face and he could be counted on to make us laugh. His memory will be with us always. May peace somehow find you and embrace you.

Heather, Whitney, and Logan,
Sincere condolences learning about the passing of Dave. He was a wonderful human being who lived an admirable life. I still remember when he took me rock climbing while we were undergrads in Biology at UO...he SCARED ME TO DEATH and made me realize my strength to weight ratio was not in his league as he was an elite mountaineer and climber.

Dave and I met in college. During those and subsequent years we biked, ran and skied together as well as socialized with he and his sweet wife Heather. Dave and Heather were an amazing duo and we enjoyed many activities and laughs together during those years. Dave was always fun and upbeat, smart and involved, a valued friend and colleague. So sad to hear about the physical tragedy that he endured and his untimely demise. I will always have fond memories or Dave and find that I have a smile...

I offer my Condolences to Heather and the family. I knew these folks some 40 years ago when they were affiliated with St. Matthew's Episcopal Church and I was the rector. I am now a Catholic priest. I will remember Dave and the whole family in my prayers. Father Bryce McProud
