David was a good friend to all. Everybody gathered at the hardware store when he was still running it. No matter what you were trying to fix or do, he always seemed to have a solution. A funny story: I remember one time that he and my then husband were burning some brush in our field. Unfortunately, the wind picked up and the fire spread into the woods.
