David G. Downs

I knew the whole family. I babysat all the kids. I'm my neighborhood. Lived around the corner and up the street from them most of my life. Great people. Will be missed.

David was my dear friend, shipmate and brother-in-arms. I've known David for almost 60 yeas, since 1968, we served together from 1968 to 1970 on the Nuclear Fast Attack Submarine USS Sargo SSN 583. We stayed in touch going to the Sargo reunions across those many years. My wife Kay and I considered David and Kathy to be "Family". Sorry to hear of his passing! He was a genuine good guy, always ready to help you! he was a good person to work with, always having smile and willing to have a little devilish fun!

Mike and I are sincerely saddened to hear about David´s passing. David and Kathy were a part of the best neighborhood we have ever lived in. Our sincerest sympathies to the family.
