I had the great fortune of working for Dave, first as Vice President-Human Resources, when he was President of Martin Marietta Chemicals. Then, after he was made President of Martin Marietta Aluminum, he asked me to visit him. He said, " I have saved $25 million. I want you to come work for me and save another $25 million. (This was a lot of money in 1985). I did. Dave was the best boss I ever had. He had it all, smart, charismatic, the most straight forward honesty. He and his wife...

Mr. Dressler was my boss. He was Executive Vice President of Martin Marietta and President of Martin Marietta Aluminum at the Bethesda Headquarters. He was generous and kind; many times he would leave at noon on a Friday in summer and would often call in to encourage me to taken the afternoon off! Suzanne Hill

My deepest sympathy to the entire Dressler Family. I first met Dave when he interviewed and hired me for a sales training position at Master Builders in 1971. Our last conversation was via telephone just over nine months months ago. Dave was just as inquisitive, insightful and interesting as ever as we chatted for over an hour. Growing up, Dave´s birthday was the one I always knew because it was the longest day of the year... and that seemed fitting for my larger-than-life uncle. He was handsome, athletic, smart, kind and accomplished, comfortable everywhere and with everyone. He liked to tease and always had a twinkle in his eye.
