Not sure what to say?

January 3, 2019

Today Marilynn and I were in Philly at a hospital where we saw a young burn victim. I was relating Dave's story, and decided to google him, only to discover his obit.

I just want the family to know that even ten years after his passing he is still inspiring people.

Dave was an inspiration to me while we were Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity brothers at CSU. Although we were not close, Dave seemed like a great guy, and provided a lot of excitement on the court while playing for the Vikings basketball team. My sympathies go out to his many friends and family members. He made this world a better place, and was taken from all of us much too soon.

My Dear David,
You will always live forever in my heart...my best friend and companion...I was so enamored with your athleticism, spirit, class, your loving soul, your bright blue eyes, that smile and your dance, all a gift from God. Sharing life with you was so special. R.I.P. I'll love you forever.
Love and God Bless,
Diahann

Dave was a fellow fraternity brother at Cleveland State and also a rival since I graduated from Eastlake North High. I will always remember his hardy laugh and infectious smile

David was a loyal and dedicated friend who I came to know as a fraternity brother while attending CSU. He & I became close when we worked a summer job together @ Euclid Inc on the 2nd shift. His love for sports, competition, and friends fueled his zest for life. His infectious smile will be missed. My sincere condolences to his family.

Dave was a brave and determined young man when we attended CSU and were faternity brothers. My best memories were sharing the love of sports and being part of a group bigger than ourselves. Dave overcame many obstacles and struggled like we all do with with the challenges of life. His big smile and big energy and big plans were something to admire. I wish his family and friends my condolenses and prayers that God has now accepted him into his eternal kingdom
