Duncan, David W., born Oct. 5, 1960 and passed away, Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at the age of 52. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Duncan (nee Lamb) and daughter, Katie Duncan, both of Chesterfield; mother, Dorothy Duncan of Festus; sisters, Mary Kay (Paul) Wolfe of St. Charles and Susan Duncan of Crystal City; mother-in-law, Irene Lamb of Chesterfield; special aunt, Mildred Morgan of Festus, as well as loving brothers- and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, niece, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Perry Duncan and his father-in-law, Don Lamb.

David was a graduate of St. Pius X High School in Festus, MO and earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of MO, Rolla and an MBA from Vanderbilt University, Owen Graduate School of Management. He held patents for several of his inventions. He was employed as a Project Manager by Covidien in St. Louis.

David was a skilled woodworker, an avid reader and learner, a Civil War buff, a restorer of Victorian furniture, antique collector, a cat lover and a skilled conversationalist. His greatest joy was found in his family. He will be greatly missed.

Services: Funeral service at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Friday, 10:00 a.m. Interment Private. If desired, contributions may be made to Open Door Sanctuary, P.O. Box 870, House Springs, MO 63051 or American Cancer Society. So sorry to have just heard of your great loss. It was so neat seeing that special man, David, who had an appreciation and eye for antique quilts. He was full of so much enthusiam and will be missed.
