DUNCAN, David Clark

Of Davison, age 63, on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, our father, David went to be with our Heavenly Father.

We are beyond thankful and grateful for our Lord and the day we reunite with our Dad in full and perfect health.

David was born in Louisville, Kentucky on February 1, 1957, the son of David Clark, Sr. and Jo Ann Geneva (Rutledge) Duncan, but moved here to Michigan in 1982 to help plant Lighthouse Baptist Church in Montrose.

Though our Dad was no longer an ordained minister as of the 90’s, he never stopped being a pastor.

In addition to us, our Dad helped so many others in their spiritual journeys.

He loved his children and grandchildren deeply and at no point did we ever feel anything but love from him.

He was proud of us and always went out of his way to help us excel and we know he did that for countless others. In addition to helping others in their spiritual journey, Dad was an expert hobbyist and left us with several amazing models that he poured thousands of hours into. He was also fascinated with flying, nearly obtaining a pilot’s license and he loved science, especially anything space related.

He was a member of The River Church of Grand Blanc.

Surviving are daughter, Amy (Tony) Izzo;

sons, Matthew (Sara) Duncan and Jason (Jessica) Duncan;

grandchildren, Ethan, Joey, Moriah, Ella, Isabella, Keegan, Jase, Grady, Oliver, Gunner and Rex;

siblings, Teresa Johnson, Sandy Kelley, Kathy Alverson and David Duncan.

Memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2020 at The River Church of Grand Blanc, 2164 East Grand Blanc Road, Grand Blanc, Pastor Chuck Lindsey officiating.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Not sure what to say?

I’ll be always grateful for the time we shared. Whether solving work challenges, discussing the finer aspects of hockey, or how to build the best home flight simulator, Dave was always thoughtful and engaging. The world has surrendered a good man, and an even kinder soul. Godspeed Dave, from a kindred spirit.

Group of 10 Memorial Trees

Dave was a treasure. I have been and will continue to miss him greatly. Thank you Jesus for His life and for rescuing him and bringing him home.

Amy, Matt and Jason, I was so sad and sorry to hear about your Dad. He was lost too soon. I have been reminiscing about our good times. He was such an amazing Dad, and that stood out to me so much when we were friends growing up. He did so much stuff with us, letting you guys bring friends for his weekends, taking us to hockey games, movies, concerts even! I think we did get a lot more out of the hard rock, then he did, haha.
But he was such a good man, kind and loving and patient to...

Such a tragic loss.
Having worked with Dave I can say that his wealth of knowledge & helpfulness will surely be missed.
Rest In Peace David.

Matt and Family, I am so sorry for your loss and hope all the great memories help bring you some comfort.

The Spathiphyllum Plant

DAve was the kindest and thoughtful person. I enjoyed our growth sessions and also when we surprised him with a birthday party my deepest condolences to the family.

I am very sad to hear of you loss, I got to know Mr.DDuncan approx. 10 years as business contact person for Romeo Technologies Inc. ever met once in 2013. I was deeply feeling Mr.DDuncan was a very nice and generous man, we were very happy to work together so many years. I will miss you.
