I have so many memories of David. My Spanish teacher at McKinleyville H.S. We played golf together for many years. I was sad when he left but I understand that he wanted to accomplish more in his career of education.

Mr. Duran was a mentor of mine. I'm in my 40s now, but when I was in High School (Johansen HS in Modesto) he encouraged and motivated me to get involved and do something more with my life. My David,
My heart is broken. . . I miss you so much. It comforts me to know that you are with Felicia again. I am positive she is thrilled to be honoring you together this Father's Day! I hope you will both feel my absolute love this day and every other day!

I am here, on the hillthe place where we brought Felicia home that day so long ago. It is where we raised our beautiful daughters together. I feel more at peace here than anywhere.
Please stay with me forever. . .

Dear David, I will always remember you. One of the best bosses I ever had. You taught me so much and only made me better. I miss you and will think of you when I go to Prescott for Xmas. Always, Peggy (Ms. Amsterdam).

David shared his life as a mentor to HYLC advisors and students; we are forever grateful to God for the opportunity to meet him and being blessed through his friendship. Our prayers are with Audrey and family. Irma D. Janzen
