Not sure what to say?

Most of all, I remember his beautiful, clear Tenor voice...his sweet and gentle personality...and how much I loved singing with him! We called him "our little Davey Dusing" even though he was a towering, supportive Teddy Bear of a man. Humble regarding his incredibly impressive musical talent...a true delight to perform with...He will be forever missed by all who had the pleasure of his friendship. I love this picture of David...Makes me smile every time I look at it!
It truly...

David was my much older room mate when I first moved to New York city in 1985. He was generous, kind and quirky. We shared the love of music, ethnic food and cats. His joy and smile will have a lasting effect on me.

So much , Light and Music. From New Orleans' "Amanda Song to New York dancing in Central Park with the David Dusing Singers and then Dayton, OH with Muse Machine, so much Joy, so many wonderful years and memories. You will be missed and always loved.

Dave was such a joyous singing colleague and a caring and smart editor. I was honored that he picked some pieces of mine to publish.

Some of my fondest memories of New York gigs are those that include working with David. For 20 years he religiously wrote back every time he got a Christmas card from my family. Who does that?! David did!

David remains one of the most wonderful persons and artists we have ever had the privilege to know. We will not forget David - ever.

"To the unknown region"...and your gift to my memory will always be your love of singing! Sing on.

Working with David was always uplifting, fun and a terrific musical experience for more than 30 years. He was a gift.
Rest in peace, David.

David was a gentle spirit and a beautiful soul. He loved many and was loved by many. He had a great sense of humor and we were always laughing at his stories. It was a blast singing with him in so many NYC choral gigs over the past 30 years, and we will miss him terribly !
With love,
Alan Rasmussen
