David Lee Easter

David Lee Easter, age 63, of Erie, PA passed away on Monday October 18, 2021. He was born in Erie, PA on September 11, 1958, son of Gladys Mae Jones and the late David Eugene Gaines, Sr.

David loved football, music, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a grill master and enjoyed cooking and was quite the jokester always making everyone around him laugh, he had a nickname for literally everybody he loved. David worked at Penn State Behrend for 13 years and was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church where he sung in the male choir.

Besides his father, David was proceeded in death by his sister, Herlaine R. "His Boo Boo Kitty" Jones; Maternal grandparents Arthur and Velma Easter; Paternal grandparents Cozette and Daniel Gaines; uncles Chester Dale and Richard Easter James, Larry and Robert Gaines

In addition to his mother, David is survived by his daughters, LaChrishia, Jalishia, and Charelle (Maurice Smith) Easter; sons Tajh and Braylen Easter; significant other Renee Martin (Brandy and Shawn Campbell); brothers, Arthur, Yancy, Todd, and Rodney Jones, David E. Gaines, Jr., Sylvester Jones, Phillip Atkinson, and John Arrington; grandchildren DeGeiona, Maurice, Cha'Mauri, Sarai, DeAhaun, Asar, and Cha'Maiya; special cousin Gwendolyn Goodwine; special friend Kerrinique (Frank); David is loved by nieces nephews and cousins a host of family and friends.

Friends may call at the Abundant Life Ministries 806 Parade Street on Monday October 25 from 5-8pm and are invited to attend the funeral service there on October 26 at 11am. Condolences may be sent to [email protected]
